General Manager, Supply Chain Management

Responsibilities:

• Lead Supply Chain function across all Business Unit operations in Taiwan to within target service and budget, including 5 distribution centers
• Lead the Supply Chain interactions with internal/external stakeholders (BU, key clients and customers, vendors)
• Develop and implement operational strategies, leading initiatives that drives operational and strategic improvements
• Supply Chain service targets and budgeted costs, including inventory and fulfilment targets
• Warehouse and transport operations efficiency and vendor management
• Contribute to delivering Net sales, EBIT and cash
• Employee engagement score
• Lead SCM related interactions with BU, key clients and customers.
• Ensure that BU, client and customer KPIs & SLAs are understood, measured, and communicated.
• Leading role to drive continued excellence in 3PL/4PL operations and commercial strategy, leveraging upon solid industry experience and networks in this area
• Execute SCM strategy for Taiwan, ensuring alignment with the corporate SCM strategy by translating the strategy into a deliverable and actionable road map
• Undertake strategic and operational planning in collaboration with functional direct reporting line with updates to all stakeholders
• Guide and support SCM development to achieve goals, remove blockages to progress. Improve practices, standards, systems to reflect best practice, driving continuous improvement to exceed expectations
• Undertake budgeting, monitoring, and reporting as required
• Actively engage and partner BU teams to support Client and Customer relations.
• Support Business Development through profitable solution design, deal assessment, new onboarding and exiting of client relationships.
• Liaise with relevant functional leads to ensure seamless integrated SCM solutions i.e.: customer services, finance, sales etc
• Participate in cross functional projects as required
• Build, lead and manage an outstanding SCM team that can provide high quality service to the internal client base
• Drive learning and development of the team in SCM and behaviors to achieve team/function goals
• Ensure the structure and resourcing is aligned with the strategic goals of SCM and the wider business across Taiwan
• Provide the direction for the new ways of working
• Complying with relevant legislation and the company’s HSE policies, standards, and procedures
• Ensuring sufficient resources are made available to maintain a safe workplace, and to meet all other aspects of the company’s HSE requirements
• Actively participating and supporting team participation in HSE training and initiatives
• Supporting the return to work of team members as part of their rehabilitation process

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Supply Chain function
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial capacity
• Experience working in MNC and highly matrixed organizations
• Experience working in consumer goods or healthcare MNCs and local clients
• In depth understanding of Supply Chain including managing warehouse operations, KPI’s & cost structures, and understanding how to impact them through cost reduction and business growth levers
• Sound understanding of logistics commercial practices
• Strong experience and capability in 3rd Party Logistics Provider management and 4PL business models including score cards, quarterly business reviews and corrective action management
• Knowledge of transportation sourcing including user requirements, carrier sourcing, Request for Proposal (RFP), carrier selection, contracting & implementation
• Demonstrate knowledge in service management including client relations
• Knowledge of Warehouse & Transportation Management Systems (ideally SAP)
• Adept at reading P&L accounts and driving both revenue streams and cost management.
