Job description

Role Description:


  • The Data Analytics Manager provides insights and analysis to answer key business questions across our Salty Category. 
  • This remote position is based in either Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI, but there may be flexibility for individuals in other remote locations (i.e. IL, KY, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH). You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Media Operations, Experience Planning, and Insights & Analytics as well as partner with external data vendors to guide overall marketing and business decisions.
  • Data-driven decision-making is a key priority. In this high-visibility role, you will be a valued part of our team.
  • Working directly with leadership together you will address key business questions and provide data-based recommendations.
  • You will get to work with cross-functional teams and insights vendors to influence learning agendas and strategy that lead to greater effectiveness. Excited for what lies ahead? We are too. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Analysis and Storytelling – You’ll translate broad questions into an analysis approach using various data tools.
  • Post-analysis, you’ll interpret key findings and implications (the ‘so what’ ‘now what’) into a pithy story for leadership.
  • Expertise in Excel/PowerPoint are a must.
  • Balance High and Low Levels of Detail – Be comfortable with the analysis and details but also translate them to varying levels of depth for different audiences (e.g., high level for executives, medium level for broader team etc.)
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Take what you know to partner with the broader Insights and Analytics, Marketing, and data vendors teams to ensure key learnings are integrated into the brand’s overall strategy and future executional plans. 
  • Project Management – Balance priorities of time, scope, and impact of questions in order to maximize your impact across the portfolio. 


Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Market Research, Advertising, Marketing, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proficient in Nielsen, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing syndicated, e-commerce, and/or retailer data sources, i.e. Nielsen, IRI, 84.51, Numerator etc.
  • Strong analytical skills & experience analyzing data and driving key implications.
  • To be successful, you will want to be able to effectively break down, summarize and communicate analyses to a variety of audiences.
