Director, Packaging Equipment & Engineering

My client is an American multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in United States. 

Responsibilities:

• As a Packaging Engineering Director, your focus will be to drive packaging equipment solutions, strategies, and priorities.
• You will lead a team of engineers to define scope and specifications to develop and commercialize new packaging equipment solutions across a wide range of product and package forms. 
• Get ready to help drive the company’s growth as you develop and implement packaging solutions within the Global Engineering function.
• Drive technical solutions for Innovation and Supply Chain initiatives through delivery of cost-effective, high-quality scope definition and equipment specifications through effective team collaboration and alignment.
• Support our supply chain through leadership of key value creation opportunities that require enablement by your packaging engineering team.
• You’ll be leading the discovery, evaluation and advancement of packaging equipment and new technologies. 
• Leverage your technical skills to improve margin and deliver business results.  
• Demonstrate technical and business leadership within cross-functional teams while supporting the company philosophy and direction.
• Engage with internal customers, Global Technology Owners, and Subject Matter Experts in the evaluation to provide the best technical solution to meet customer and consumer needs.
• You'll be responsible for supervising and encouraging the professional development of direct reports along with providing recognition and rewarding performance appropriately. Partnering and working with cross-functional teams and building meaningful business relationships.
• Influencing at all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8-10 years of technical experience or 15-20 years of technical experience.
• Two years of people leadership experience.
• Clear understanding CPG packaging equipment and systems.
• Experience leading and managing projects and project teams.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to a wide range of individuals and audiences with different knowledge levels.
