It is known to have one of the biggest balance sheet banks in the world (among others) aiding it to offer 360-degree financial services to its clients.


Job description

Responsibilities:


  • The primary responsibility is to ensure with the IRR team that IRR framework, methodologies and processes are followed consistently throughout the region by partnering with the cluster treasurers and IRR managers across the region and following the global Treasury IRR team policies and guidelines. This individual within the team helps the IRR managers across the region to follow consistent guidelines and best practices through a “trusted advisor” role. Main responsibilities in the IRR scope with the IRR managers across the region include:
  • Collaborate with the team for regional support on measuring and analyzing IRR metrics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on IRR metrics and support RTU treasurers and businesses within the region in managing their interest rate exposure
  • Ensure regional stakeholders have consistent and well-established IRR frameworks (for all relevant RTUs including required approved limits) and appropriately assess IRR through ad-hoc IR forecasts, analysis and relevant IRR tools consistent with Treasury IRR guidelines and global best practices.
  • Assist in periodic / ad-hoc interaction with Cluster Treasurers and relevant stakeholders in the region to provide efficient support for all IRR related matters (i.e. SYC construction, IRR framework setup and management, Option, Basis & Concentration Risks, among others).
  • Advice on appropriate & robust FTP processes (tickets are set up and feed through correctly to Treasury systems) and support integration of FTP principles consistent with global policies and best practices.
  • Coordinate Interest Rate Transfer Pricing or ALM Transformation Initiatives in the region.
  • Support Plan and CCAR requirements related to IRR Management and Transfer Pricing including guidelines for Interest Rate and FX Rate Forecasting and business analysis (NIR, NIM and Returns forecasts & Impacts).
  • Perform detailed analysis to substantiate IRR methodologies, assumptions and recommendations.
  • Ensure consistency amidst various IRR methodologies used across different B/S products and businesses.
  • Coordinate implementation of “best-practice” approaches / solutions to IRR methodological problems.
  • Support regional stakeholders on preparing documentation and presentations to support senior management decision-making around IRR methodologies.
  • Support regional stakeholders on B/S Asset and Liability modeling (i.e. Deposit modeling through GOT corporate tool framework, Relevant Loan modeling through duration / prepayment approaches) in coordination with global IRR teams and corporate governance standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Economics or other business-related area; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 6-10+ years of experience in Finance.
  • Must have advanced analytical skills but also the ability to see the big picture.
  • Excellent communication skills are imperative i.e. ability to make complex subjects easily digestible for senior management
  • Exercises proven Power Point and Excel skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services/banking, preferably Treasury or Market Risk
  • Willingness to take ownership and execute on deliverables.
  • Ability to interact, collaborate and communicate effectively with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders
  • People-management experience is not required.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus.
