Role Description:
- The overall purpose of the Assistant Treasury Manager is to conduct analysis on various investment opportunities, prepare Treasury MIS and reporting, support Chief Treasury Officer towards maximizing value creation, funds management, debt raising and support on KYC, risk and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Liquidity and Asset Management
- Identifying opportunities for Equities and Bond Investment for Treasury Entity
- Identifying opportunities for Equities and Bond Investment for Family Office Entity
- Analyze and monitor investment activities within the Group and Family Office with a view towards efficient allocation of capital.
Treasury MIS and Reporting
- Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual treasury & investments reports.
- Compilation on Monthly Treasury Newsletter
- Integration of Treasury MIS with EPM
- Engage with Business Units for compiling project wise Data rooms covering key information for each project.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies & procedures covering all aspects of Treasury & Asset Management activities.
- Manage all financial risk exposures for the group including foreign exchange, interest rate, commodities and sovereign risk through proper hedging and other strategies.
- Ensure that the Group is compliant with policies including management of Group financial risks related to interest rates, commodities, and forex.
Banking relationships & Debt raising
- Supporting in Bank account opening, KYC and relationship management
- Manage relationship with UAE based banks.
- Manage funding requirements of various business units through existing and new debt facility arrangements.
- Manage facility Covenants.
Internal and External Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with senior management, operational staff, company bankers and management teams of potential investment targets.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with company funds and managing substantial investments & capital projects.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required for this Role
- Degree in Finance; Post-graduate level qualification is preferable (MSc, MBA).
- CFA and/or ACT qualification would be a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in Treasury and/or Asset Management, ideally with exposure to EMEA region.
- Prior corporate Treasury and/or Asset Management experience in a multinational company is preferred.
- Should have access to banks to develop new banking relationships.
- Strong understanding of equity, debt, FX, commodity markets and interest rate markets.
- Ability to model company valuations through various generally acceptable methodologies.
- Prior exposure to managing financial risk in emerging markets.
- Strong understanding of derivative instruments and commodity products.
- Experience with international reporting and knowledge of IFRS reporting with strong experience in Hedge Accounting.
- Prior experience in Treasury systems implementation would be a plus.
- Written and oral fluency in English.
- Fluency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of VBA would be a plus.
