Job description

Role Description:


  • The Area Sales & Business Development Manager Congo will be responsible for managing sales operations within a specific geographical region, focusing on building relationships with distributors, retailers, and users to achieve sales targets and grow business within the Congolese market.


Responsibilities:


  • Delivering sales targets within assigned territory by driving the core business and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for demand generation of key products through relevant user marketing to achieve desired results. 
  • Managing relationships with importers, important wholesale & retail outlets & potential influencers. 
  • Ensure timely Primary Order collection and maintaining commercial hygiene, pricing for country.
  • Support leadership to drive the BTL objectives aligned for the said cluster/ region. In addition, conduct monthly business reviews with local team against the said BTL target and prepare way forward plans with distributors, local teams with proper maintenance of data base for sales & demand generation for focused products as applicable.
  • Working regularly in the market and providing insights basis product usage, competitor information and charting a proper plan to address the same. 
  • Ensuring timely submission of claims with proper documentation as applicable to the categories in the country.


Requirements:


  • Candidates with Min 3 Years experience in Managerial Sales or User Marketing roles.
  • Should be well versed with the local language (Lingala), French and English.
  • Candidates from Paints & Hardware, Adhesives, Construction Chemical and Building Materials will be preferred.
  • Graduate from a recognized university.


Location:


  • Kinshasa:Should be well versed with local language- Lingala besides French & English
  • Lubumbashi: Should be well versed with local language- Swahili besides French & English
