Cloud Solutions Architect

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive private & public cloud adoption and revenue.
• Be a public cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) evangelist.
• Understand and incorporate Hitachi private / hybrid cloud offerings into customer cloud computing scenarios.
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of cloud computing.
• Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services to public cloud platforms.
• Conduct deep-dive hands-on education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using public cloud services.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the SA community.
• Author or contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, tutorials, etc.
• Present sessions at industry conferences.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering & support teams.
• Become technically proficient with the REAN Accelerator Platform and demonstrate capabilities to customers
• Partner with the REAN Platform development team to share customer requirements and enhancement requests.
• Solid understanding and experience in cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design, and implementations including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of design & implementation experience with distributed applications and systems
• 5+ years experience in information technology (networking, infrastructure, database)
• Working knowledge of software development and automation tools and methodologies (Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Chef, Python, etc.)
• 3+ years of software/technology customer facing experience - comfortable presenting complex topics to IT executives and leadership
• 5+ years of design & implementation experience with distributed applications and systems
