EMEA Field Service Power Distribution Lead Engineer- Switchgear

Overview:

• On-site customer work across the EMEA region (Data Centers, Utilities, Oil & Gas) Remote work handling administrative and planning tasks
• Candidates can be based in Ireland, the UK, Netherlands, Poland, or Romania, ideally near a major airport.

Responsibilities:

• Lead installation, maintenance, commissioning, testing, and fault-finding of MV and HV equipment
• Lead installation projects, oversee third-party providers, support fellow engineers, and ensure equipment operates at optimal performance.
• Perform site testing (e.g., insulation resistance, primary/secondary injection, functional testing)
• Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for complex power distribution fault
• Review and approve service documentation, test reports, and commissioning records
• Act as the primary customer contact during project execution
• Support and mentor service engineers, promoting safety and best practices
• Collaborate with project teams to meet delivery targets and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in power distribution testing and commissioning
• Ability to test and commission large MV to HV installations
• Experience with protection relay programming
• Strong IT skills and attention to detail
• This is a hands-on, customer-facing position suited for candidates with a strong technical background. Skills:
