Role Description:
- The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- This role supports both daily production and long-term manufacturing development initiatives and works closely with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams at both local and global levels.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team to support production and development initiatives.
- Make critical decisions related to product quality, including disposition of non-conforming materials and deviations.
- Develop and implement manufacturing engineering programs, standards, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality management systems.
- Implement and document corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Guide teams in data collection, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent Manufacturing Engineering in cost reduction, Lean, and Material Review Board activities.
- Support planning and management of departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage, train, evaluate, and develop engineering team members.
- Support contract reviews by identifying manufacturing and quality requirements.
- Analyze and report manufacturing performance metrics.
- Champion organizational priorities in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
Requirements:
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- 7–10 years of overall manufacturing or engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Engineering Management experience.
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments is highly preferred
