R&T Project Leader (Validation & Project Management)

Responsibilities:

• Lead reliability and validation activities across the full NPI lifecycle for DDN Power and Cable Assembly products.
• Play a critical role in the DFMEA process, identifying risks and defining robust mitigation plans cross-functionally.
• Develop comprehensive Reliability and Validation Strategies per project based on VOC and DFMEA outputs.
• Define and align test scope, objectives, sample size, test duration, conditions, cost, and sequencing.
• Develop standardized Reliability and Validation Methodologies and Procedures.
• Own project-level R&T control documentation and track progress in project management systems.
• Lead R&T technical reviews and regular project update meetings.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and gaps; drive mitigation and escalation as needed.
• Act as the single R&T interface to customers and internal stakeholders (PDE, AQE, MPDE, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, external labs).
• Lead failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and maintain ORT (Ongoing Reliability Test) plans.

Requirements:

• 8+ years in Reliability Engineering, Validation, Test Engineering, or Technical Project Management.
• Strong knowledge of DFSS, DfRE, DFMEA, reliability principles and industry standards (EIA-364, IEC62368, IEC 61000, IEC60068, FCC Part 15, IPC9592B, ISTA 3E, ASTM D4169).
• Hands-on experience with Environmental tests (Temperature, Humidity, Altitude, IPxx), Mechanical tests (Vibration, Shock, Drop, Impact, Durability, Packaging), Electrical tests (Power integrity, Signal integrity, Power thermal rise) and Safety/EMC (Hi-pot, LLCR, RE/CE/RS/CS/ESD/Surge).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional, multi-site engineering teams.
• Strong communication and customer-interfacing skills.

Preferred/ Nice to Have:

• Six Sigma Black Belt or DFSS certification.
• PMP or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data center power, cable, or connector applications.
