Job description
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of SAM Pro capabilities including enhancements, defect management, and platform optimization.
- Configure, develop and maintain Service Now modules, including SAM Pro, HAM Pro, and CMDB, in alignment with business requirements.
- Design and maintain integrations with SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Cloud platforms, and procurement & contract systems.
- Support configuration and tuning of software normalization, reconciliation rules, and license models within SAM Pro.
- Ensure integrity and quality of data across discovery, CMDB, and entitlement sources.
- Develop automation for SAM use cases such as license harvesting, compliance tracking, and request fulfilment optimization.
- Design and implement workflows, Flow Designer automation, business rules, client scripts, UI policies and notifications while following Service now best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, participate in platform upgrades and releases, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform stability, user experience and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of total experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on Service Now development experience.
- Experience working with ServiceNow SAM Pro modules including normalization, reconciliation, and content service, is preferred.
- Hands on with JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, CMDB data model and platform security concepts.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Understanding of Software Asset Management Lifecycle with exposure to discovery tools, software normalization and software reconciliation concepts.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is preferred.
- ServiceNow SAM Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and ability to work independently as an individual contributor and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
