Responsibilities:
Pacific Region Specification Activity management
- Identify upcoming projects in the market
- Reach and influence decision makers involved in those projects to specify the technical features of our products
- Follow-up on the project in its different stages (specification, pricing & budget, order, supply chain, etc).
- Completion of specification sheets
- Provide technical support and training during prescription seminars and fairs
Business Development & Specification for Project Business
- Create and/or update a regional map of stakeholders in the area (consultants, contractors, end users, distributors, etc) and their market focus (industry, IT, etc)
- Work as a hunter, to generate and follow-up on leads, to boost the project pipeline and create interest
- Be involved and supportive in the pre-sales phases (compliance, technical comparison, BOQ creation, counter objections, etc.)
Support Specification Marketing actions & tools
- Support product launches
- Participate in marketing actions
- Assist with market data pricing analysis
- Platforming of accounts and account management planning
Performance plan and KPI’s
- Identify spec-in action plans, target and flag corresponding accounts in SalesForce
- Link opportunities to the selected action plans and the corresponding data
- Update and follow KPI’s for specification effort
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering and/or a strong electrical trade background in the commercial or industrial space
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in specifying in the electrical engineering industry
- Good understanding of low voltage distribution & applications
- Demonstrates substantial experience within the electrical low voltage market, complemented by a well-established local network that includes panel builders, M&E consultants, electrical contractors and end users.
- Prioritises product offer specification, working closely with consultants and large end users, with a particular emphasis on the Data Centre (DTC) segment.
- Acts as a highly strategic, commercially driven sales leader, with a proven knowledge and history of success in the Pacific DTC segment.
- Possesses a robust technical background, especially in critical power systems, which is essential for the role.
- Is capable of leveraging key contacts and decision makers to benefit the organization.
- Effectively operates in a matrix environment, collaborating with local PCO and PSM sales and technical engineering leads, as well as the regional key account team, to strengthen the company’s presence and install base in the Pacific.
