Are you an experienced Account Director with a background in the construction industry? If so, our client is looking for someone like you to join our team.
As an Account Director, you will be responsible for applying a strategic approach to selling and developing long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. You will collaborate with clients to find the right solutions for their problems, develop a clear-value proposition, submit a compelling bid and assist our team in reaching contract signature.
Your key responsibilities will include identifying and qualifying opportunities in the market, developing a deep understanding of your clients and their business, devising and project managing the action plan that will drive the sale from prospect to close, and owning the client relationship and acting as the ‘client’s voice’ in the room.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and stakeholders. You should also have an understanding of commercial principles and structures, as well as the ability to understand and synthesise information from a range of experts including technical, commercial, and legal.
Additionally, you should have knowledge of consultative-selling, solution-based sales, and account-based sales, as well as experience producing complex bids and proposals. Possessing a high level of diplomacy and the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships both with clients and within the organisation is also essential.
Ideally, you will have 5-years’ experience in a relevant role in the property or construction sector, 5-years’ experience in a similar role in sales for major infrastructure deals where the client is typically a Local Authority, private developer, or major property owner. Experience of the property (consultant or owner), M&E or building management sectors and consultative sales setting is also desirable.
If you have a demonstrable track-record of complex infrastructure or construction deals on either the sales or the customer side, experience of district heating, energy master-planning, or a similar sector, we would love to hear from you.
