They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.


Job description

Responsibilities:


  • Identify and propose value-driven opportunities at the asset-level and on a regional basis to enhance overall profitability, aligning with the company’s strategy and long-term goals.
  • Evaluate the impact of market changes on the economics and competitiveness of capital program projects.
  • Review and provide input on the inclusion of new projects in investment plans, and update plans accordingly.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on refineries and petrochemical facilities, emphasizing technical and economic justifications and developing long-term business strategies.
  • Assess growth project proposals and joint venture offtake arrangements.
  • Assist in the technical development and economic justification of capital programs.
  • Perform process, system, and economic evaluations of existing and potential refining and petrochemical facilities.
  • Direct evaluations of major refining and petrochemical facilities conducted by others.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to corporate management on refining and petrochemical investment opportunities.
  • Mentor less experienced facilities planning professionals.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in refining and chemicals, with at least five years dedicated to strategy and capital planning programs.
  • Experience in providing consultation and conducting refining and strategy-related reviews and studies, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, and calculation methods.
  • Expertise in international business and cross-cultural professional practices.
