Job description

Responsibilities:


Drives Business Growth


  • Manages commercialization of Snacks BU, and Plant Transfer projects ( External and Internal)
  • Develop new or improved commercialization process, focusing on improving product quality, process, margins, and productivity.
  • Development covers aspects such as Technical feasibility, commercial plans support, and operational stability. Understands state of the business and leverages knowledge to
  • drive down project time/costs. Anticipates obstacles affecting other business functions.
  • Drive improvement in food testing methodology translating lab risk assessment prior commercialization in plant (Auto vs manual testing method)
  • Support Trade Market sample request for AMEA region, coordinating and liase with commercial team, ensuring food reach the market timely.

  • Demonstrates personal capabilities as a Technical Lead, Planner, Coordinator, Communicator, and Technical Expert in leading successful Trials | SOPs.

  • Possesses an innovative mindset in discovery, evaluation, and application of new technologies in commercialization process, research and development, and have a significant impact on exsiting and new products, improved products and increased efficiency on flavor application processes ( lab and plant).


Technical Expertise


  • Provides technical direction as a Seasoning (SME) translating Tastelock food from lab scale to plant commercialization within commercial planned timeline. The incumbent has
  • Be an expert in Scorecard development ensuring Pringles Flavours are plant-friendly with minimal waste upon commercialization.
  • Provide support to Supply Chain (Production, Operation team) seasoning related plant troubleshooting.
  • Provide support to Plant QA and Planner as the technical SME for seasoning related matters (Eg shelf life, seasoning wastage, audit ).
  • Work with supplier and Junior Product Developer to enable recyability of newly upscaled new Pringle flavours.


Other Duties:


  • This role is based in Singapore. Travel to, and work in, manufacturing, suppliers, test facilities, or regional offices are typically required up to 40 percent of the time.
  • Projects may require working beyond the normal workday hours, shift work, and on weekends. Operation of process equipment is occasionally necessary
  • Sets work load for Lab Assistant and interns (if assigned). This role is an individual contributor role (direct project work/management)


Requirements:


  • Bachelor of Food Science or Engineering or closely related field and a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in food R&D
  • Experience in seasoning creation and/or application.
  • Exposure to project work and timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Exposure to cross functional stakeholder management to help with building strong relationships with Supply Chain, local and regional management, peers and in the
  • effective execution of food commercialisation.
  • Excellent understanding of R&D and operations and be able to function effectively as a Technical Lead, Planner, Coordinator, Communicator and Technical Expert.
  • Strong interest and natural curiosity to food manufacturing process
  • Collaborative, attention to details, drive for results, owner's mindset and customer focus.
