Associate Food Technologist

Responsibilities:-

• Manages and leads small to medium size projects and programs to improve product quality, product margins, productivity, unlocking production capacity, scale-up and introduce new products
• Becomes a technical expert in the plant’s manufacturing technologies; supports and provides technical guidance and troubleshooting to Operations
• The incumbent has an impact on the company through knowledge and application of a technical discipline
• Develops and leads the execution of process improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, costs
• Supports or leads (depending on scale & complexity) new product or product renovation scale-up trials and production start-up
• Upholds Quality image standards. Appropriately addresses both project and non-project related quality or food safety issues when encountered
• Issues timely reports and updates to product specification & other required documentation as a result of project implementation
• Provides innovative new ideas and critical thinking to troubleshoot operations, process, or raw material related issues  

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, or a related field, with minimum 3 years of experience
• Basic understanding of food processing, R&D, operations
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis & generating insights from data
• Must possess leadership, planning & coordination skills, good communication skills, cost consciousness and diplomacy
• Must be able to promote good relations with all facets of R&D, Supply Chain, Plant team and other technical / scientific disciplines in the effective execution of projects
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
