Balance Sheet Control Lead Analyst

Our client operates in the Financial sector, with its headquarters rooted strongly in the United States. It has its branches spread to more than 160 countries, providing employment to more than 200k people all over the world. They fall in the Top 15 largest Banks in the United States. Its core business is to provide various Banking and Financial services to its clients. It is known to have one of the biggest balance sheet banks in the world (among others) aiding it to offer 360-degree financial services to its clients.

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of the Controller Data Team (CDT) is to strengthen controls and transparency of the Balance Sheet by enhancing the quality of the account reconciliation process with strong centralized governance and standardization of the substantiation process, performed in strategic sites, while leveraging best in class automated tools. 
• individual responsibilities expected to support initiatives for the CDT commitments related to the Core Capabilities.
• Responsible to the CDT provides accounting guidance, control, support and governance for all business units related to reconciliation processes.
• Responsible to Supporting the CDT project lead in working with Senior Leadership across the organization and with the Core
• Capability chapter owners to understand the requirements impacting CDT, and manage the scope and expectations of those requirements.
• Partnering with technology to document requirements for the strategic technology solutions needed to execute on the commitments
• Maintain Working with all Strategic Partner sites to implement the change in CDT processes
• Providing updates to the project lead and escalating timely if progress in hindered
• Understand current state CDT processes and technology to ensure alignment with the strategic vision

Requirements:

• Experience in Banking or Financial Services industry preferred
• Accounting degree is required
• Candidate will have 7+ years of experience with a degree in accounting from accredited institution, a proven track record for success, and preferably be a CPA or equivalent or working towards a certification.
• Experience with Finance’s strategic technology architecture and other key finance processes across all regions is strongly recommended.
• Candidate should be willing to travel globally as needed.
