Our client is a leading Indian pharmaceutical company, headquartered in Bengaluru and a footprint across 100 countries. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter drugs, and nutraceuticals. They operate two business verticals, Regulated Markets and Emerging Markets. Their manufacturing footprint covers 8 manufacturing facilities in 4 continents, including 5 US FDA approved facilities and a dedicated R&D facility in India with global filing capabilities.

The company partners with generic companies in US and Canada, to supply retail and hospital generics in injectable products and soft gels. In European markets, it has long-term relationships for the development of projects and supply agreements. In Australia and New Zealand, the company is engaged in manufacturing and supply of soft gels and value-added manufacturing.


Job description

Role Description:


  • We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our organization's efforts in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships.
  • The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in sales, key account management, and business development. 
  • This position requires a dynamic individual who can develop and execute alliances to propel the company forward in a competitive generic market.
  • The position will be responsible for achieving the financial goals and delivering P&L objectives by developing and managing key accounts in the USA.


Responsibilities:


Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:


  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to stay ahead in the industry.


Client Relationship Management:


  • Management of existing client base and product life cycle.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and address client needs effectively.


Strategic Partnerships:


  • Identify and establish new partnerships that enhance the company's product wise market share.
  • Participate in negotiation and finalization of agreements.


Budget Management & Revenue Growth:


  • Manage assigned budgets related to business development and sales.
  • Support and execute initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Effective management of order book, credit & collection.
  • Explore and capitalize on new business opportunities.


Communication:


  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's products.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in business development and sales.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and strategic partnership skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in managing CMO/CDMO agreements will be considered a plus.


Reporting: 


  • Report to Chief Business Officer- B2B for the Americas Region.
