Responsibilities:
Dealer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned dealers to drive revenue, volume, market share, and profitability.
- Communicate weekly with dealers and visit each dealer location at least once per month.
- Evaluate dealer sales performance and market share; recommend and implement corrective actions where needed.
Sales Planning & Execution:
- Plan and forecast billing, retail orders, and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prospect and onboard new dealerships following established new dealer guidelines.
- Assist new dealers with merchandising programs, ordering processes, and dealership branding.
Events & Promotions:
- Plan, participate, and support special events such as rodeos, corporate and dealer farm shows, and sporting events within the territory.
- Organize and conduct regional dealer meetings as required.
Training & Support:
- Coordinate and deliver training for new dealers covering computer systems, sales processes, marketing programs, product knowledge, advertising, parts, and service.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to facilitate product and sales training.
Market Intelligence & Product Feedback:
- Conduct competitive intelligence and product-price positioning analyses to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Test and evaluate new products, recommend improvements, and suggest new product additions.
Logistics & Coordination:
- Assist with the logistics of tractors/equipment for photo shoots, events, and other requirements within the territory.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5+ years of field sales/channel management experience in the construction, industrial, or agricultural equipment industry.
- In-depth knowledge of product categories, dealership operations, and assigned territory.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with dealers, vendors, employees, and all levels of management.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver business growth.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet tools.
- Strong presentation skills for small and large group settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Physical capability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required by the role.
