Engineer - Cost & VAVE

Responsibilities:

• Should Cost Analysis / Teardown / Benchmarking / Value Engineering (VAVE)
• Generate Concept models in Creo.
• Drawing Study, GD & T and welding symbols.
• Product design, multiple material selections, Raw material technical specifications.
• Develop Customized Templates and approach for Manual costing based on special process requirements.
• Required to get drawings and cost data (Windchill) and analyze them to generate cost effective ideas

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Should Cost Analysis / Teardown / Benchmarking / Value Engineering (VAVE) Team
• Knowledge on VAVE methodology & Project life cycle
• Strong Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills and to be generate Concept models in Creo.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing basics and cost structure, especially for fabricated component process such as plastic injection, Stamping, Sheet metal, Machining, Casting.
• Good Knowledge on various Plating & Finishing process used in Industries (Painting, Powder Coating, Plating)
• Knowledge on Drawing Study, GD & T and welding symbols.
• Should have experience in Mfg. process work centers and machines being used to define Machine Hr. rates.
• Develop Customized Templates and approach for Manual costing based on special process requirements.
• Experience working for product design, multiple material selections, Raw material technical specifications.
• Should have the detailed understanding of the design phases of the electro-mechanical products and the deliverables at each stage of the design.
• Should demonstrate the strong decision making skills, communication & collaboration skills to manage the various stakeholders globally to generate DtV opportunities.
• Experience in PLM system is required to get drawings and cost data (Windchill) and analyze them to generate cost effective ideas

Qualifications

• BE with 6 to 10 years' experience in HVAC, Industrial & Appliances.
• Various Valves, Air & Water Cooled, Heat Exchangers and Compressors.
• Added advantage of electrical products i.e. Circuit breaker, Fuses, Panel boards & Contactors.

Skills

• Should have Experience to execute in Costing software i.e. aPriori, Seer, DFMA.
• Product design, VAVE expertise, Electromechanical products Cost out & cost avoidance, Teardown & benchmarking, BOM costing
• Hands on experience in Creo 9.
• Six sigma Green belt certification will be added advantage
