Overview:
- Are you interested in joining our team responsible for the accounting and reporting of a UK-based business within the energy sector? We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Professional to support the financial activities of our organization.
- This role is within the Accounting R2R function, providing expertise in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.
- The team collaborates closely with various business units and specializes in IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards, managing financial postings, closures, external audits, and delivering financial statements.
- We are looking for an Accounting Professional to ensure accurate financial reporting for a number of business units in the United Kingdom.
- You will be a part of the Record to Report (R2R) organization within our Group Finance department.
- The team is distributed across Hexham, Kolding (Denmark), and Gliwice (Poland).
- This role is integral to supporting our growing presence in the UK, which includes renewable energy projects and expansion into the Distribution and Heat business.
- The position offers opportunities for professional growth, cross-country collaboration, and involvement in complex accounting issues.
- Additionally, the team is actively working on transitioning to SAP S/4 HANA.

Responsibilities:
- As a specialist, you will assist multiple companies within our organization in the UK with complex accounting matters related to your area of expertise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on work to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Serving as an accounting expert, ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Supporting business units with accounting matters
- Acting as a liaison between accounting and business departments
- Cultivating positive relationships with internal customers and our outsourcing partner
- Managing the financial responsibilities for selected companies, including balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
- Supporting the audit process and internal controls
- Executing services with a strong emphasis on quality and timeliness, following established processes and guidelines
- Participating in development projects
Requirements:
- Partly qualified accountant, with a qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in relevant Finance operations
- A deep understanding of IFRS accounting rules
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Finance processes
- Familiarity with SAP and proficiency in Excel is a plus
