General Accounting Specialist

Role Description:

• Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented General Accountant to join their finance team. 
• With a strong presence in the financial sector, our client is dedicated to providing innovative solutions and opportunities for their clients to grow and thrive in the financial markets.
• We are looking for a General Accountant to play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our client's financial records.
• In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our client, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes for our client, including reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and analyzing variances.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations on behalf of our client, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements for our client and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports for our client, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of our client.
• Auditing Support: Assist in financial audits for our client by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within our client's finance department and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by our client.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or relevant accounting certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
