General Ledger Accounting and Tax Officer

Our client is on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented General Ledger Accounting and Tax Officer to join their team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the day-to-day accounting activities, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance for our esteemed client's assigned entities.

As a General Ledger Accounting and Tax Officer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Navigating through automated entries from sub ledgers or external systems.
• Skillfully handling un-automated entries with precision.
• Orchestrating intercompany transactions and crafting related documentation.
• Masterfully preparing monthly corporate tax provisions and tax proofs.
• Completing period-end accounting entries with finesse and consolidating financial results.
• Serving as the liaison for auditors, tax authorities, and regulators, providing them with essential information.
• Meticulously reconciling and documenting accounts, including intercompany positions.
• Crafting and scrutinizing period-end entries for absolute accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborating seamlessly with other departments to ensure information accuracy and completeness.
• Actively contributing to the standardization of processes.
• Crafting reports in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP (if required).
• Skillfully preparing and filing monthly VAT returns.
• Expertly preparing and filing annual corporate income tax returns.
• Meticulously preparing other local tax and regulatory statements.
• Compiling insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the assigned entities.
• Vigilantly monitoring regulatory requirements for compliance.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience with a world-class ERP system, MS AX 2002/365 experience is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficient knowledge of Dutch tax legislation.
• A collaborative team spirit and exceptional multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with complex financial clerical work, including accounting principles.
• Profound understanding of company and external accounting standards and guidelines.
• High-level analytical and conceptual skills.

• A track record of successfully completing assignments.
• Effective written and verbal communication in Dutch and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• A higher accounting degree or qualified education in finance according to the local education system.
