Head - Engineering Design

Responsibilities:

• Engineering designs and processes - design, engineering analysis, prototypes, testing, process
• Design systems and components that meet the needs & requirements of the new products & technologies
• Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems/ requirements
• Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate potential failures through design solutions
• DFMEA and design analysis to build optimum designs. Test and evaluate theoretical concepts & designs
• Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
• Product Packaging designs
• Bill of Materials and BOM Costs
• Manage the design data and issuance of controlled design documents

Requirements: 

• Working experience in mechanical design engineering
• Clear understanding of core concepts like mechanics, kinematics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science etc. and other design elements like GD&T, production processes
• Hands on fluency with 2D/ 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools like AutoCAD, ProE , Solidworks etc
• Adept at product lifecycle management (PLM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools like ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar ones
• Exposure to computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is a desirable
• Creativity and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear manner
• Technical writing skills
