Job description

Responsibilities:


HR Partnering & Consulting:


  • Supports the HR strategies for the Supply Chain function by providing operational support, coaching and advice to drive HR Plan and people processes.
  • First point of contact for HR advice, confidently and accurately answering employee/manager queries and executing decisions in a timely manner.
  • Interpretation and application of policies, procedures, and agreements applicable (including Union Collective Labor Agreement).
  • Driving transformation agenda for supply chain as well as resource optimization.
  • Identify and implement recommendations for maximizing employee performance.
  • Partners with the line management to drive, influence and support the HR aspects of organizational change, structure, people processes and business improvement initiatives.
  • Reinforce and model the Values & Growth Competencies via employee onboarding and with working with existing managers and employees.
  • Work with managers and employees to support in communication and action planning for Global Engagement Survey (GOS).
  • Active participant of Supply Chain Regional teams to represent Turkey business and initiatives proactively.
  • Coach, counsel, and guide managers throughout the performance and/or disciplinary process, ensuring adherence to Company policies and procedures and relevant employment relations legislation.
  • Provide employee relations advice and coordinate outplacement/transition counselling as and when needed.
  • Supports compensation and benefit with information on industry trends and benchmarking data (with the collaboration of HRD & respective teams)
  • Supports the HR Director and acts as a back-up lead.


Recruitment & On-boarding Activities:


  • Manage end to end recruitment support for recruitment (ie preparation and posting of job advertisements, candidate screening, conducting and arranging interviews, medical examinations, reference checking and communication).
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to support on-boarding preparations and induction schedules.


Talent Management:


  • Assists in identifying potential talent and the development of succession planning.
  • Ensures that all PMP (Performance Management) and IDPs (Individual Development) are in place.
  • Support and coordinate site-based training initiatives and compliance calendar
  • Provide support on Learning and Development initiatives.
  • Ensure effective management and application of the performance management process.
  • Plans appropriate employee training and development, in order to ensure the continued and smooth operation of the department.
  • Develops and maintains an effective operational organization to ensure maximum utilization and development of subordinate staff.
  • Co-ordinates and manages all plant employees’ training.
  • Management of on-boarding and exit activities for Supply Chain employees (within Advisor scope), develop action plans as necessary based on trends coming from data.


Reward & Recognition:


  • Working closely with the HR Director, build a culture of reward and recognition, and manage the overall employee engagement program. 
  • Provide recommendations for broader recognition initiatives in support of cultural transformation and employee engagement action plans.


SC Plant Leadership Team:


  • Is a member of SC Plant Leadership Team and respective Center of Excellence (CoE) Teams: Working Systems (KWS), Quality Food Safety (QFS), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and KWS Leadership (LDS).
  • Participate in Golden 6/Safety 7 tours and PES in accordance with the plan and take relevant actions.
  • Support the implementation of Quality Food Safety (QFS), Operational Prerequisites, and HACCP programs.
  • Assist in root cause investigation and the creation of corrective actions in the event of accidents/incidents.
  • Provide data as needed for the creation of QFS/EHS Scorecard metrics.
  • Participate in third-party and legal audits and take actions to comply with changing legal requirements.


HR Projects and other Adhoc:


  • Lead site-specific projects (ie. KWS, People COE etc.).
  • Partner with HR Director & lead entire HR projects (for all employees) as required.
  • Support to HR Director and HR Team as required to manage workload, deliver HR services to the business.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 8-10 years previous HR experience in a unionized environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of laws impacting HR. Industrial relations / union exposure and good HR generalist experience.
  • Agility and ability to act with pace and a sense of urgency.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage varied workload.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant employment legislation and employment obligations across Turkey.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Qualifications in HR or equivalent would be preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & business acumen
  • High influencing and negotiations skills
