About the role
As a Business Analyst reporting into the BA Lead, you will be supporting projects, and working on the implementation and enhancement of single large or multiple small information systems, in line with business needs. You’ll be working with Technical Architects, delivering analysis activity to elicit requirements and inform business decisions, being responsible for investigating and analysing business situations, needs and systems, evaluating options for improving these.
Acting as an internal consultant to the business, you’ll be devising and planning the analysis approach for large-scale projects, producing detailed business models, and assisting in the preparation of business cases, identifying new, alternative, and innovative approaches to performing business activities. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand strategic business needs and plans for growth, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and identifying appropriate solutions, while aligning them with business priorities.
You will provide expert advice and insight to ensure business requirements are captured and translated into technical approaches and designs that can be implemented, ensuring business objectives and value of technical solutions are clear and well understood, providing guidance, and reviewing specifications for change. You will conduct business process modelling to generate applicable scenarios for technology functional testing, supporting the business users in acceptance testing.
You will articulate and propose opportunities for improvements in business processes and existing solutions and provide quality assurance on all supporting documentation. You will stay abreast with the latest technology changes, assessing their impact and potential value/risk to the business.
About you
- An experienced IT Business Analyst (ideally with a technical background) that has previously worked on large projects in a matrix structure, with cross-functional teams
- Ideally with experience in owner experience/customer journeys
- Skilled at performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum framework environments
- Strong business acumen, fast-paced, methodical, organised, with exceptional attention to detail
- Ideally a relevant professional qualification (e.g., BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA Level 3 Certified Business Analysis Professional
