  • Global IT RDD & NPI function has end-to-end accountability for the strategic roadmap, design, delivery, and support of many of the applications enabling the global RDD and NPI teams and processes, with particular focus on early product research and development teams, the international research and engineering functions, robotics, and software development for teams located across 20+ sites in APAC, Europe, and China.


Responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the RDD & NPI IT Programme Manager, you will act as an intermediary between IT and the global engineering, research, and innovation user base to collect, clarify, analyse, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions can be developed. 
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to understand RDDs strategic needs and plans for product development growth, translating business requirements into technical requirements and identifying appropriate solutions, while aligning them with business priorities.
  • You will collaborate and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business and other members of the global IT organisation to provide expert advice and insight to ensure these business requirements are translated into technical approaches and designs that can be implemented. 
  • This also means being a liaison between RDD and IT, ensuring the technical requirements and specifications are well understood by the technical teams whilst maintaining the buy-in of the stakeholders.
  • To do this you will need to stay abreast with the latest technology changes, assessing their impact and potential value/risk to the business which will include conducting business process modelling to generate applicable scenarios for technology functional testing, and supporting the business users in acceptance testing.
  • You will be able to provide quality assurance on all required documentation, verifying it is created and maintained according to organisational standards. 
  • This can include ensuring that your programmes, projects, and third parties are working within the bounds of policies and any global legislative compliance e.g., GDPR, PCI, Cyber Security standards, etc.
  • You can develop your career creating and owning your professional and personal development plan, using the internal talent development framework to baseline your capabilities and identify stretch targets to build your career.


Requirements:


  • Able to work across the globe in a matrix-managed environment with demonstratable experience of this.
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst to translate business requirements into design documentation and identify appropriate solutions
  • Deep understanding of one or more business functional areas, preferably in engineering or software development
  • Experience with business process modelling
  • Experience of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience in making complex technical proposals to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable business and tech acumen and organisational skills
