IT Data Scientist

Responsibilities :

• The IT Data Scientist will be expected to develop deeper understanding of internal and external data and systems. Exploring and experimenting with a variety of datasets to draw new business insights.
• Regular interactions with business functions or participate in meetings where analytics are discussed (e.g. Supply Review, Demand Review, S&OP/ IBP, audit, etc.). 
• Represent in Business Analytics related projects and initiatives to design, develop and support solutions (both on cloud and on premise)
• Collaborate with other IT specialists and business users in different functions to deliver strategic advanced analytics projects from design to execution
• Design and build new data set processes for modeling, data mining, and production purposes
• Provide analytics insights and solutions to solve business problems 
• Determine new ways to improve data and search quality, and predictive capabilities
• Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analysis
• Explore third-party and open source solutions for speed to execution and for specific use cases
• Train and support end users of business analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP Business Object). To ensure that each user receives the training and support they required to perform their jobs smarter and more efficiently
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements :

• Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, unstructured data analytics in corporate and/or academic research environments
• Advanced in statistical and other tools/ languages e.g. R, S-plus, SAS, STATA, Python, C, C++, Java, Scala
• Familiarity with relational databases and intermediate knowledge of SQL
• Demonstrated ability to use data visualization tool (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
• Demonstrated ability to think out of the box, "Can Do" attitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and driven by the desire to seek answer
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to be continually learning, be a team.
