Lead Engineer – Satellite Optical Systems

Responsibilities:

• Lead high-resolution optical payload development, manufacturing, and related activities.
• Define the optical payload development, procurement, delivery, operations, reliability, and performance requirements across all optical ISR types.
• Provide technical and programmatic oversight to procurement activities.
• Identify risks to vendor delivery of payloads and components.
• Define the long-term strategy and short-term plan to localize optical payload system development in the UAE.

Requirements:

• 15 + years in small satellite high-resolution optical payload system design.
• Deep and demonstrable knowledge of high-resolution optical payload system design and performance assessment.
• Experience working in the UAE or Middle East is desirable.
• Experience working on ISR data products including AI/ML is desirable.
• Experience working on optical Earth observation data pre-processing workflows (system correction, calibration, terrain correction, video).
