Lead Enterprise Architect (Salesforce CPQ Architect)

The Role:

• One of our divisions is about to launch a multi-year CPQ implementation program, which will add CPQ to the European Salesforce template which consist already of sales, customer service, marketing, field-service and communities. As a Salesforce CPQ Architect, you will report to the Director Enterprise Software Engineering. 
• You will help design and implement complex CPQ solutions to support our sales processes and ensure seamless quoting and pricing capabilities for our products and services. 
• You will collaborate with teams, including Sales, IT, and Product Management, to guide the successful adoption and optimization of our Salesforce CPQ platform. 
• You will be part of the Salesforce competence center and will make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce CPQ solutions that align with requirements and goals. Provide technical expertise in translating functional requirements into scalable and efficient CPQ solution.
• Develop and implement CPQ solutions using industry best practices. Collaborate with development teams to ensure the integrity of the system architecture and adherence to coding standards.
• Configure and customize Salesforce CPQ application components, including product rules, pricing logic, discounting strategies, and approval processes.
• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce CPQ and ERP platforms (SAP Order To Cash).
• Improve the Salesforce CPQ platform to enhance performance, usability, and user experience. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development the competence center. Guiding the team in implementing best practices and ensuring the delivery of CPQ projects.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
• Collaborate with (business) partners, to gather requirements, understand business processes, and create solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• At least 7+ years experience as a Salesforce Architect, with 5+ years experience delivering complex CPQ solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CPQ functionality, configuration, and customization capabilities.
• Experience with Salesforce architecture and integration patterns.
• Salesforce CPQ certification.
• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other relevant Salesforce technologies.
• Experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners.
