Maintenance Engineer (Gas Turbine)

They are one of the world’s largest oil producers. They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.

Responsibilities : 

• Provide consultation in all aspects of normal and emergency plant maintenance procedures and standards.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and machine shop daily operation.
• Support installation, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify existing equipment and Identify cost reductions & process improvements.
• Introduce the latest technology in repair methodology.
• Ability to design engineering packages.
• Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to Junior Engineers.
• Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
• Participate in standards value engineering.

Requirements : 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five years’ hands on experience in Mechanical field.
• Candidate shall have strong background in the investigation of turbine malfunctions and incidents, turbine outages planning and execution, and field projects/activities management. 
• Incumbent should know different turbine component repair processes and key quality control steps in addition to ability to identify spare parts required for turbines, generators, and their auxiliaries maintenance.
• Experience in the mechanical design, troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as Gas and Steam turbine.
• Experience in manufacturing with OEM (original equipment manufacturing) facility such as, GE, Siemens, MHI, BH.
• Excellent English reading and writing.
