Manager – Human Resources Operations

Our client is a listed international service and investment company with expertise in five Segments: Finance & Technology, Hospitality & Travel, Logistics, Malls, and Reals Estate & Agribusiness. It has its branches spread across 50+ offices, providing employment to more than 5,000 people all over the world. Our Client is one of the top high-value business groups in Mauritius.

Responsibilities:

• Working in close collaboration with the Chief Human Resources Officer, the incumbent will oversee activities of the Human Resources department as well as administration and security services for various BUs of the logistics sector , with key involvement in;
• Assisting in the formulation and implementation of policies and plans for the promotion of Good Industrial Relations, Safety & Health issues as well as HR initiatives (PMS, BSC, Job Evaluation, HRIS etc).
• Collaborating in the management of the training function, with regards to training plans and related activities.
• Advising on pay system, incentives and rewards and ensure that processes are followed and procedures are implemented.
• Conducting effective Recruitment & Selection while adhering to the established procedures.
• Preparing Human Resources statistics and indicators with a view towards improving effectiveness of the organization.
• Working with heads of Business Units and provide support on HR issues.
• Organising events for the welfare of all employees.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor degree in Management / Business Administration / Human Resources.
• At least 3-5 years experience at management level in human resources.
• Strong Knowledge of, and exposure to Labour laws / Industrial Relations / S&H.
• Fully computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and relational skills.
• Planning and organising, time management, analytical, decision making and leadership.
• Experience with all varieties of HR issues with a tactical and hands-on approach.
