Overview:

Are you ready to lead the charge at the forefront of our client’s digital evolution? As part of their Information Security team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the secure path to a smoke-free future. 

From cybersecurity assessments to building an organizational security culture, your expertise will guide them every step of the way.

Responsibilities:

• Lead hands-on a team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for planning, executing and overseeing complex and comprehensive cybersecurity assessments of enterprise systems and networks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, objectives and timelines for cybersecurity assessment projects, ensuring alignment with internal policies, business priorities and resource allocations. 
• Extend or complement the capacity of the team by onboarding and coordinating other internal Information Security specialists or external cybersecurity SMEs based on the nature and needs of each assessment project
• Identify and prioritize potential vulnerabilities, weaknesses and areas of improvement in information systems and processes. 
• Provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights to senior Information Security and IT leadership based on assessment findings and industry best practices
• Develop and implement IT audit methodologies, frameworks and assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls, risk management practices and compliance with applicable standards. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and trends in cybersecurity to enhance the effectiveness of assessment procedures and maintain a proactive security posture
• Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of the overall application security program, e.g. by reporting on the number of initiatives supported by the wider Application Security team, average time and effort spent, common findings and pitfalls identified during the fieldwork, etc.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team by providing mentorship, training and guidance

Requirements:

• Cybersecurity Expertise: You bring over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including leadership roles in audit or assessment teams.
• Educational Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity provides the backbone of your knowledge.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM validate your skills and expertise.
• Technical Proficiency: Conducting technical security assessments, vulnerability evaluations, and configuration reviews are second nature to you.
• Effective Communication: Translate complex technical information into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership Prowess: Your leadership skills shine as you unite team members from diverse backgrounds and navigate complex projects.
• Project Management: Your track record of executing projects on time and within budget highlights your project management acumen.
• Adaptability: Thriving in a dynamic environment, you can manage multiple priorities while keeping a proactive security stance.
