Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Marine Affairs completes all applicable reporting requirements within Our client Compliance Management System (CMS), regulatory compliance database, and associated activity-specific compliance tools.
- Working as a liaison with our QHSE team to support Marine Affairs’ and our client compliance audit programs.
- Tracking applicable Marine Affairs permit conditions as project approvals are obtained from regulatory agencies while assisting construction managers, site managers, and contractor crews in implementation of conditions.
- Ensuring fulfilment of applicable Marine Affairs compliance obligations for monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Working with our client US Offshore Wind management, and other our client stakeholder liaisons and fisheries representatives to develop a plan for engaging and disseminating project information to maritime stakeholders including the local fishing community.
- Communicating construction operations daily plans and activities to myriad maritime stakeholders, including Fisheries Representatives and the recreational and commercial fishing industries.
- Working to mitigate potential adverse project impacts by ensuring timely dissemination of information regarding project activities, including projected vessel movements or delays during all phases of project development.
- Engaging maritime stakeholders through outreach meetings, events/conferences, on-site visits, and one-on-one interviews to gather views to facilitate communication and information sharing.
- Additionally, you will identify the best methods, including using new and evolving technology, to communicate with maritime stakeholders, and you will have an ‘open-door policy’ to listen to concerns.
- Finally, you are expected to join and contribute to the industry-leading Marine Affairs team, working with maritime stakeholders around the US and on special projects as needed.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications
- Have a background within a relevant field, e.g., offshore facility construction or operations maritime stakeholder engagement commercial shipping shipping / port logistics port operations/port captain/port engineer marine affairs, or other maritime disciplines.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental studies or science, engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited program.
- Have 5 to 10 years of experience in compliance management in an offshore infrastructure construction and operations industry.
- Have experience collaborating and communicating effectively with inter-disciplinary teams, such as QHSE, construction, EPC, and project management.
- Have familiarity with compliance-related data collection, monitoring, tracking, and reporting tools, such as compliance and database management software systems.
- Can adapt to changing conditions and work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment within tight deadlines.
- Will make periodic boat-based trips to offshore sites will also be required.
- Have the ability to speak and write English fluently with strong Microsoft Office suite skills.
- Are a trustworthy and impactful communicator and are comfortable addressing large groups.
- Have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks.
- Are a team player and able to deliver excellent results in a rapidly changing environment.
