Packaging Technologist

Responsibilities:

• Contribute & drive the development & implementation of packaging to support new product launch, cost saving and sustainability program for Rayong site and other sites. 
• Manage the technical timeline, providing timely communication, outlining issues, risks and contingency plans for new product launch program.
• Lead implementation of packaging productivity programs, working closely with cross-functional partners (i.e., operations, procurement, logistic, QA and marketing) as well as external packaging material vendors.
• Conduct, coordinate functional testing including plant trials, lab testing, transportation tests, shelf-life studies, and material vendor evaluations, including analysis of data, results and follow up recommendations and action plans.
• Prepares and maintains material specifications ensuring materials comply with all relevant Governmental requirements for food packaging.
• Review and approve artwork for Rayong site for printed flexibles, cartons, and cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise throughout the deployment of new packaging.
• Ensure all new Packaging meets food safety and Quality expectations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree in packaging, material science or related field with minimum 4 years’ experience in packaging development related environment within FMCG food Industry. 
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Detailed understanding of the packaging material performance and product requirements. 
• Strong team interaction skills to allow maximum influence on the business operation.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication and project management skills 
• Expert in one or more packaging capability areas (e.g., materials, innovation, engineering, design).
• Excellent command in oral and written English & computer skills.
