Principal Systems Analyst – BI Developer

Job Description:  

• Principal Business Intelligence Developer position will work in a team environment to lead the team for delivering data-based business solutions. This will involve engaging clients, internal experts, consultants, contracted resources, and users to identify business needs. 
• The role will require contribution in all aspects of solution delivery from discovery through implementation and support by working with a group of BI Analysts/developers. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems, business processes, and user requirements to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop system solutions that meet business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead and manage system analysis projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Elicit and document user requirements through interviews, workshops, and other techniques, ensuring clear understanding of business needs and translating them into system specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend integration strategies for connecting new or existing systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of systems, and oversee quality assurance processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, user manuals, and training materials.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Education: B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, M.E/M.Tech - Any Specialization

Experience:  

• 14+ years of strong Business Intelligence/Business Analytics experience or equivalency is preferred

Desired- Technical Skills:

• Must have worked on ingesting/ modelling HR data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. 
• Candidates with experience on Workforce data will be preferred.
• Strong experience in the areas of Business Intelligence and Reporting, including but not limited to On-Prem and Cloud Technologies
• Should be an expert in writing/ Optimizing and Debugging Complex SQL code.
• Must have proven experience in complete MSBI stack including Power BI and delivering end to end BI solutions independently.
• Must have technical expertise in creating data pipelines/ data integration strategy using ADF/ Synapse Pipeline
• Should be an expert in dimensional modelling and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience on DBT and Fabric will be preferred.
