Purchase Executive/ Manager

Our client is an integral part of the growth of Flexible packaging industry in South Asia. They create customized and innovative flexible packaging solutions - Milk Film Pouch, Easy Peel Lid Film, Laminates, Shrink and Stretch LD Film and Labels (Shrink and Wrap Around Labels) - across industries ranging from Dairy, Food & Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Personal & Home care, Health & Beauty and more.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the Project needs and work with existing suppliers to get the equipment’s/projects accessories/utilities/project procurements on time and ensure no delay
• Work closely with the Project management team and develop right strategy to fulfil their sourcing needs on time.
• Identify, work, audit and empanel new vendors to create options for competitive sourcing.
• Create Purchase Orders and ensure on time delivery
• Keep costs under control by using aggressive negotiation tactics and following the project budget.
• Project MEP tenders , quotation and finalization.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in any discipline preferable BE in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical etc.
• The candidate should have 5-10 years’ experience in Project or utilities purchase
• Prompt / Diligent in following up / Persistent / Capable of handling all types of situations
• Ability to perform under minimal supervision
• Knowledge of computers / SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
• The ability to interact effectively and professionally with the vendors
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Strong technical knowledge on project procurement items for mechanical, electrical, machinery , utility etc.
• Data analysis and comparison.
