Quality Manager

Our client is an integral part of the growth of Flexible packaging industry in South Asia. They create customized and innovative flexible packaging solutions - Milk Film Pouch, Easy Peel Lid Film, Laminates, Shrink and Stretch LD Film and Labels (Shrink and Wrap Around Labels) - across industries ranging from Dairy, Food & Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Personal & Home care, Health & Beauty and more.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and Stratezising.
• Responsible for ensuring right selection of RM with specified quality and targeted cost, continuous monitoring of Vendor Performance.
• Develop Right vendors and ensure RM quality consistently.
• Work with Procurement Managers to optimise RM cost Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review
• Implement bench mark RM quality Processes.
• Implement change control Management with Vendors
• Implement quality systems and standards for assessing outsourcing and outside vendors. 
• Provide expert opinion on RM selection and Application at Customer end.
• Implement RM inspection methods to attain Zero defect.
• Effective training for Product development function to select and apply the right RM.
• Coordination, Interface, Imparting Training to Internal and External entities.
• Interact with Plant heads/ Quality Managers/Procurement Managers/Sales Managers for the right selection of RM with respect to each Product Category/SKU.
• Create awareness about quality standards through regular communication and training within the plant.
• Management of performance.
• Manage performance of RM quality and cost for the entire Manufacturing Organisation.
• Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management.
• Establish a full fledged Central RM testing Laboratory.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of Different Flexible Product Category RM variants/ Analysis/Test methods/Application.
• Thorough understanding of the product manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of company’s strategy, structure and practices.
• Proven ability to build, sustain, and influence relationships, at all levels of an organization
• Strong conceptual, planning, conflict management and decision-making skills.
• Deep data analysis, and Solution Provider.
• Strong negotiation and relationship with Vendors.
