Senior Mechanical Inspector (Relocation Opportunity)

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Inspector to join their Global Manufacturing Support Department.

As the Senior Mechanical Inspector, you will conduct special studies and analyses in a specialized asset integrity field, such as necessary mechanical calculations for the following: piping, pressure vessels, shell and tube heat exchangers, air cooler fin fans, branch reinforcement, MAWP, hydrotest pressure, rating and/or de-rating. You will also assess fitness for service to evaluate flaws or damage, conduct pipe stress analysis, as well as a number of other assessments. 

Key Responsibilities:

As a successful candidate, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Performing field troubleshooting on a daily basis or as requested
• Participating in major T&Is and emergency plant shutdowns
• Developing and reviewing mechanical inspection procedures and best practices
• Writing recommendations and reports related to mechanical inspection activities
• Developing and reviewing pre and post-T&Is reports
• Developing and reviewing mechanical inspection strategies
• Participating in field mechanical inspections, quarterly schedule inspections, and assessments
• Reviewing and proposing NDT methods and inspection procedures
• Participating in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies
• Participating in HAZOP Studies review
• Setting KPIs and monitoring deployment and performance of mechanical inspection programs at facilities
• Reviewing performance and KPIs of mechanical inspection programs at facilities
• Issuing recommendations to enhance mechanical inspection programs deployment and performance

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years in the refinery and/or NGLF industry, specifically in mechanical inspection, with at least 10 years of field experience working on plant major turnaround, field troubleshooting, and inspection
• Two of the following certificates: API-510, API-570, or API-653
• Thorough knowledge of best engineering practices, solid industry codes and standards background
