The Role

 

The Senior Product Manager Retail Derivatives will be part of the Cash and Derivatives business development team and will be in charge of the business development and product management of the Dutch and Belgian Equity and Index Derivatives business.

Role Summary

The Senior Product Manager will be accountable for our clients Amsterdam and Brussels Derivatives P&L and will utilise expert product knowledge to drive our efforts to optimize revenue opportunities and to achieve the business goals while maximising return on investment through product development and competitor analysis.

 Key accountabilities

·       Provide strategic direction to improve profitability of the product group.

·       Create value propositions to clients by enhancing, designing and commercializing products and services.

·       Suggest and implement improvements to the Volatility trading environment and market microstructure based on in-depth market research and extensive client consultations

·       Develop annual business plans and coordinate activities with senior management in other areas of the organization.

·       Ensure that operations functions, client relationships, and sales strategies are managed according to the standards set by the organization.

·       Oversee the development of new products and services for your business area in close cooperation with internal project teams, finance, regulation, surveillance and other key stakeholders.

·       Lead P&L-driven business case development, seeking the most profitable balance between client needs and internal cost control.

·       Commission competitor analysis for a particular product offering, functionality, pricing and market penetration to recommend improvements to enhance Our clients market position and to ensure we have accurate and up-to-date competitor intelligence and can properly manage any competitive risks.

·       Maintain and develop relationships with business development and client services, ensure we have an accurate and detailed understanding of our client needs and opportunities to increase market share.

Your profile

·       Extensive experience in a product management, business development or sales support role.

·       Great knowledge of Exchange market model, rule book, service offer, the buy-side and sell-side landscape.

·       Demonstrable exposure to developing new products in the past and have knowledge of the full product development lifecycle.

·       Strong commercial acumen and strategic awareness.

·       Excellent written and oral presentation skills, an ability to combine attention to detail with the wider strategic view.

·       Good project management skills: ability to leverage internal and external relationships, autonomy and determination to drive forward projects, provide clear business input into functional requirements.

·       Collaborative, open, pragmatic, customer oriented and numbers-driven approach to work.
