Job description
Responsibilities:
- As Contract Analyst you will learn to read and interpret contractual and commercial documents of large Enterprise Software Publishers (such as Oracle, SAP, IBM) and to extract and summarize the appropriate software usage rights granted and their associated conditions and restrictions.
- You’ll create complete and accurate Software Entitlement Overviews, including migration paths, historic use rights, active vs inactive support etc.
- You will analyse contractual data received from our customers to create a detailed overview of their software rights and combine that with knowledge gathered from the public domain (word wide web).
- You will highlight potential risks, opportunities and statistics that can be derived from the provided data to the benefit of our customers.
- As a member of a team of contract analysts, you are always looking to optimize the analysis process and improve efficiency.
- You are curious and eager to keep up-to-date about contractual terms, restrictions/ limitations and commercial models, as well about the licensing rules of software publishers. You're a team player.
- You like to receive input from others and to support and contribute to ideas and initiatives of others.
- You like to understand what's going on in your team and what others are working on.
Requirements:
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience reading and interpreting software contracts from large ERP vendors.
- You have a degree in law, politics, or another relevant study which involved reading and understanding large volumes of legal language (preferred NOT mandate)
- You have a good understanding of the principles of software compliance.
- You possess knowledge about commercial agreements (e.g. Order documents, general terms & conditions, commercial agreements, ammendments, apendices, invoices, BOM’s etc.
- You know your way around MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- You have knowledge and/or experience with legal language
- You have an analytical mind and eye for detail.
- You are eager to expand your knowledge and share what you know with colleagues
- You enjoy working in a team, but are able to work independently as well
- Fluent in English as we are working in an international, English-speaking environment
