Job description
Role Description:
- We are looking for a senior FIX Specialist who has good working knowledge in FIX Support & QA environment and understanding on Capital markets domain. The candidate should have good communication skills and technical knowledge of SQL, UNIX, testing tools and FIX certification process. . Should be willing to work in shifts across the day.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for taking care of FIX infrastructure and changes associated with it.
- Responsible for certifying clients and onboarding them in Production.
- Responsible for FIX QA-related activities as and when assigned.
- Interact with developers and work across teams for QA projects.
- Interact with business users and clients for investigation of any issue with electronic order flow.
- Work on SQL, Unix & proprietary trading environment.
- Work on rollouts for new/existing Markets and new/existing products.
- Work on Critical Projects with demanding time frames.
- Work on various in-house developed systems and assist with the QA for the same.
- Work on Bloomberg and various automation tools with an effort to continuously automate the process.
- Follow standards and best practices, involving the broader technology organization where appropriate.
- Analyzing the problems and creating definite test suite for the same.
Requirements:
- Mandatory - experience of working in Equities Brokerage Front Office role for Capital Markets.
- Minimum of 5 years proficiency in FIX technology with good experience in FIX certification and FIX client onboarding
- Proven experience in Cameron FIX
- Excellent knowledge of Cash Equity business in a DMA/DSA, Agency and Program FIX environment
- Adequate knowledge of Future & Options business in a DMA & DSA FIX environment
- 3-5 years of experience in a Broker / Dealer environment
- Good knowledge of exchange rules of Asian markets (HK/JP/KR/SG/TW/AU/IN)
- Good understanding of Trade Flow systems needed for DMA/DSA trade booking especially in ID markets like Korea, Taiwan and India
- Good knowledge in Algo systems
- Good understanding of Order Management Systems like Fidessa, Flextrade etc
- Good understanding of Front end systems like Bloomberg, ITG etc
- Good exposure in FIX testing tools like VeriFIX
- Good exposure in FIX monitoring tools like ITRS etc
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
- Willing to undertake other Trade Support functions
- Ready to work in Trading floor (high pressure environment)
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to interact with Vendors and Traders
- FIX development skills (not mandatory but good to have)
- Rollout FIX projects individually
- Knowledge in FIX protocol (FIX versions 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 etc)
- Knowledge in FIX engines like Cameron, Appia
- Knowledge in ORACLE (user level)
- Knowledge in Unix and Shell scripting
- Knowledge in FIX automated tools
- Algo screens / ATDL templates
