Role Description:
SVP, Lead Analyst: Securitization/Equity RWA Analytics (Hybrid)
- This role is in the Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) Controllers Project space which supports the verticals of the Basel Capital calculation.
- The role is for Financial Solutions Sr. Lead Analyst to act as a point person between the RWA Controllers and Technology teams during all phased of the project management life cycle.
- The Finance Solutions Sr. Lead Analyst is a strategic professional having a business critical and regulatory driven knowledge.
- We are looking for a SVP who will have responsibility for planning, developing, and executing capital initiatives that are part of the our client transformation as well as other regulatory mandated Capital regulatory initiatives. The work involves both strategic “build the bank” projects as well as well as "run the bank" efforts.
- The SVP will manage all aspects of multiple projects concurrently including end to end planning, identifying and structuring solutions for problems being remediated. For the projects, the individual will need to understand the initiative, and if applicable document the current state process, draft business requirements and understand the target deliverable.
- The individual will plan and execute the project and facilitate the transition to business as usual upon completion.
- The individual will need to obtain consensus across stakeholders and technology. The body of work involves significant interaction with senior management as also managing multiple stakeholders and resources indirectly.
- The role requires expertise in project management, analysis and preferably knowledge of the regulatory requirements, and data.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the business lead on the regulatory projects with responsibility for all the phases of the project, from requirement gathering, business analysis, design of solutions/operating models to overseeing the deliverables during development and UAT
- Perform in-depth review and investigation on RWA problems, computation issues, and systemic root causes
- Research the business problem, related issues and develop and socialize solutions with all the relevant parties
- Understand the current state, design, and create a business view of the target state and operating models
- Drive process, control, and technology improvements for RWA Controllers to assist in reducing manual processes and improving the control environment
- Use various tools to create proof of concepts (e.g., utilizing excel, diagrams, etc.), analyze and identify deficiencies and design enhancements and proposals
- Present outcome of “proof of concept”, in partnership with others, including senior leaders to get sponsorship for solutions
- Own and drive new solutions, designs, and aggregation, reporting and visualization of the results
- Develop, resolve, and closely monitor deliverables to meet commitments internally as well as externally
- Contribute to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions and processes and participate in formulating and setting strategic direction for them across our client functions and locations.

Requirements:
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Master’s Degree in related areas/MBA or CPA/CFA is a plus
- 15+ years of experience working in Financial Services in Regulatory Capital, RWA, preferably in a large bank and/or a top tier consulting company or a regulatory body
- In depth knowledge of banking products / systems highly preferred
- Project experience in Basel initiatives, is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel & PowerPoint required
