Job description

Role Description:


  • This position is responsible for managing and growing the Nutraceutical market segment in Canada.
  • The incumbent will work with both existing and new customers to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • The role involves reporting on customer contact activities and results to management, maintaining accurate CRM data, and providing updates on market conditions and competitive activities.
  • The Territory Sales Manager will collaborate with Customer Service Representatives, Sales Managers, Field Service Engineers, Quality Personnel, and Business Development colleagues to ensure customer needs are met and sales targets are achieved through continued growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Strive for market leadership and increase business share in the territory segment.
  • Prepare the annual budget for the territory and achieve targeted sales volumes.
  • Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base within the territory.
  • Identify and actively pursue new prospects, analyze sales potential, and plan activities for commercial development.
  • Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams of dietary supplement brands/buyers to identify and support new product development initiatives.
  • Support pricing strategies and ensure timely collection of payments in line with credit limits.
  • Develop and manage an efficient sales network to enhance performance.
  • Conduct regular customer visits for sales and business development purposes.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conventions to support marketing efforts.
  • Gather detailed market intelligence, including information on customer volumes, machinery, and other relevant data.
  • Build multi-department, multi-level contacts at key customer organizations.
  • Host and entertain targeted customers and prospects to strengthen business relationships.
  • Coordinate management involvement with customer leadership to enhance customer/supplier partnerships when needed.


Requirements:


  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales and/or business development.
  • Willingness to travel across Canada (minimum 50% travel required).
