Test Pilot

Role Description:

• A senior test pilot, as a member of the test flight department, you will be involved in experimental, developmental and certification test activities as well as mentoring and training of other test pilots. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties of CAT1-2 test pilot for experimental, developmental and certification flight tests.
• Cooperate with Flight Test Engineers for flight test planning.
• Preparation of flight test reports.
• Deeply involved in the assessment of test campaign risk management and implementation of mitigations.
• Develop or support the development of aircraft flight manuals.
• Leadership within the test pilots’ team.
• Mentoring and training of other test pilots
• Develop existing flight test pilots training syllabus.
• Collaborate with the engineering to contribute to aircraft design both during design and test phases (especially HMI, ergonomics).

Requirements:

• Holder of EASA CPL(A) licence (or higher), Instrument Rating, and capable of obtaining the required level of EASA medical certificate.
• EASA flight test pilot rating (CAT1-2) is desirable or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of flight test experience.
• Experience conducting test on programs pursuing EASA Certification of Part-23 aircraft.
• Proven experience with aviation risk management and safety awareness within complex organisations.
• Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
• Must have a temperament and the desire to effectively mentor and coach the test team.
• Flight Instructor and Aerobatic rating are desirable to comply with Slovenian national requirements for experimental test pilots (not required for holders of EASA test pilot rating)
• Experience with rotary wing, unmanned aircraft and electric propulsion is a bonus.
