Turnaround Engineer (GM)

Our Client operates in the Oil and Energy industry, with its headquarters rooted strongly in Saudi Arabia. It has its branches spread to more than 50 countries, providing employment to more than 68,500 people all over the world. They fall under the Fortune 500 Companies. They are one of the world’s largest oil producers. They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

• As the successful candidate you will be expected to perform the following:
• Lead turnaround assurance review or cold-eye review of turnaround preparation of different facilities in order to have predictable outcome and improvement.
• Review the progress and quality of the deliverables during the turnaround life cycle and all the phases and come out with convincing recommendations for improvements.
• Work as an influencer and motivate the turnaround planning team in different facilities to implement best practices, lessons learned to enhance quality, safety as well as competitiveness.
• Review implementation of stage-gated turnaround processes in different facilities.
• Conduct risk management workshops for turnarounds for different facilities.
• Conduct scope challenge workshops for turnarounds for different facilities.
• Review Key Performance Indicators for turnarounds.

Requirements:

• You must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• You should have a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in turnaround management including the planning & execution in the Oil & Gas downstream sector (refinery / petrochemical).
• Experienced in turnaround planning software such as Prometheus, ROSER, Primavera P6 and any other end-to-end solutions for turnaround and outage management.
• Have thorough knowledge and well experienced in turnaround stage gated concept.
• Experienced in conducting turnaround assurance will be preferable.
• Have good understanding on competitiveness/Solomon indices on turnaround performances.
• Experienced in turnaround budgeting, cost optimization.
• Experienced in contracting strategy, contract scope preparation, technical bid evaluation for turnaround contracts.
• Experienced in turnaround material & resources management.
• Experienced in developing turnaround scope, job package. 
• Experienced in turnaround planning milestones management & tools.
• Experienced in execution plan development and executing major turnaround.
• Experienced in close-out activities such as critique, post-turnaround report preparation, lessons learned documentation.
• Familiar and experienced working in SAP system.  
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) will be preferred.
