Job description

Job Role:


  • The Product Specialist is a mid-level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. 
  • The overall objective of this role is to do daily risk management, new client onboarding & coordinate the implementation of new products.


Responsibilities: 


  • Work closely with exchanges on trading systems/regulations.
  • Aware of the Futures clearing framework
  • Work with sales traders, external clients to understand trading systems gaps and then lead the change for platform enhancements.
  • Share new regulatory, client and business requirements with vendors / technology teams.
  • Handle vendor management/coordination from business side and lead projects for implementation.
  • Participate in sales pitches and RFPs for clearing and execution mandates
  • Work on overall development of the product platform
  • Manage the lifecycle strategy from acquisition through early client engagement and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance
  • Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
  • Advise and provide insight and recommendations on innovative and strategic product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as direct and oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Work with Operations and Technology with regards to process design and vendor procurement as well as communicate business plans on marketplace approach 
  • Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Requirements: 


  • Should have covered accounts for electronic execution in Capital Markets.
  • Should have detailed knowledge of SEBI/NSE’s pre-trade risk controls/regulations
  • Have a good knowledge of Exchange Trading systems, Co-location setups and associated rules/regulations. 
  • Knowledge about Transaction cost Analysis (TCA)
  • Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
