Responsibilities: <ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring reliability, performance, and an exceptional user experience.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate customer needs into high-impact technical solutions, balancing simplicity with scalability.</li><li>Define and communicate clear technical specifications by breaking down complex requirements into actionable, well-structured implementation plans.</li><li>Uphold engineering excellence through test-driven development (TDD), comprehensive integration testing, and disciplined API design and management.</li><li>Optimize data storage and messaging systems, including PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, and RabbitMQ, to ensure system efficiency and stability.</li><li>Mentor and support fellow engineers through pairing, knowledge sharing, and leading refactoring initiatives to continuously raise team-wide technical standards.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Technical Depth: A degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of professional mastery in Ruby and its frameworks (Rails, Grape, or Sinatra).&nbsp;</li><li>A Quality Mindset: A strong TDD advocate who lives and breathes RSpec.&nbsp;</li><li>Systems Thinking: Deep experience with relational databases and message-driven architectures. You understand how parts of a system talk to one another.&nbsp;</li><li>Growth Mindset: A drive to learn and take ownership. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Create and implement interactive, user-friendly, and visually appealing user interfaces (UIs) for web applications.</li><li>Develop robust front-end architectures, write high-quality code, and perform code reviews to maintain standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure applications are fast, responsive, and scalable across various devices and platforms by optimizing loading times and performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Research, evaluate, and adopt new front-end technologies and frameworks (Angular, React) to keep products at the groundbreaking.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with our team to create user-friendly web3 applications.</li><li>Develop responsive and intuitive UIs with React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.</li><li>Work with WAGMI, Viem to interact with smart contracts.</li><li>Work with Redux and/or MobX for smooth state management.</li><li>Work with REST APIs and GraphQL for backend communication.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Proven experience as a senior frontend engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality web applications.</li><li>Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript languages.</li><li>Expertise in frontend frameworks: Angular and/or React.</li><li>Hands-on experience with RxJS library and state management systems: NGRX, NGXS.</li><li>Experience in writing and support unit tests (Karma, Jasmine, Spectator).</li></ul>

The Role As a Staff Software Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert. Determines the technical tasks that other engineers will follow.</li><li>Support end-to-end ownership of design, implementation and operational excellence of software components while proactively improving existing structures and processes.</li><li>Contribute to the technical engineering roadmap by completing quality and thorough assessments of implementation alternatives and their associated trade-offs and providing recommendations.</li><li>Be consistently solutions-focused while contributing to the vision of domain and larger Venmo technical engineering roadmap.</li><li>Exercises judgement in reconciling diverse and competing priorities to identify optimal solutions to problems.</li><li>Leverage strategic thinking and experience to look ahead and anticipate consequences and risks linked to implementation choices; able to identify patterns to reduce repetition into meaningful general solutions.</li><li>A key voice on team-level processes (ex code &amp; design reviews) and oversees projects, ensuring an accurate, complete, timely and operable solution is delivered.</li><li>Serves as an expert to resolve technical inquiries of others.</li><li>Be able to provide technical leadership for a team with limited guidance from management or senior teammates.</li><li>Strong skills interacting and tailoring communication with various technical and non-technical stakeholders, such as product, support, finance operations, compliance and legal.</li></ul> Requirement <ul><li>At least 5+ years’ Experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications at scale.</li><li>Strong Kotlin skills &amp; knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.</li><li>Deep understanding and knowledge around consuming GraphQL and REST APIs from Mobile applications.</li><li>Passionate about mentoring and developing software engineers.</li><li>Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Mobile Development. Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests.</li><li>Strong knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming with expertise in design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.</li></ul>

You will also work with engineering managers, engineers, and partner teams to&nbsp;</li><li>develop innovative solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Define and develop processes, tools and methodologies to achieve excellence in software&nbsp;</li><li>development, testing, and deployment, follow coding standards and guidelines with attention to performance, scalability, and availability.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>At least 5+ years of iOS development experience with Swift programming skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience building iOS applications connected to APIs – RESTful and GraphQL.&nbsp;</li><li>Practical knowledge of iOS architecture.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with a version control system and the processes that come with committing, reviewing, and merging code across a team.&nbsp;</li></ul> Basic Qualifications:&nbsp; <ul><li>A solid grounding in Computer Science &amp; UI Design fundamentals.&nbsp;</li><li>2-3 years of experience building successful production software systems&nbsp;</li></ul>
