Business Development Manager role – Congo (Ivory Coast & West African Countries)

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Define, drive, and support changes to improve distributor business competitiveness and customer value</li><li>Establishing new distributors where needed to optimize go to market channels to realize business growth</li><li>Accountable for market data, segments and information needed to support business and market share growth in each country within the area of responsibility</li><li>Understand Distributors customer needs holistically.</li><li>Proactively develop our client’s position, brand awareness in distributor countries</li><li>Identifying growth opportunities by building relationships with key customers in the assigned area.</li><li>Support and develops our client’s position in his/her customer base or market area.</li><li>Create and track strategic sales growth targets with distributors</li><li>Business planning and forecasting for the area.</li><li>Define and implement pricing policies for the distributors in line with unit targets.</li><li>Lead and develop programs for strategizing sales and ensure the progress and execution of development plan and roadmaps together with sales.</li><li>Accountable for driving an opportunity pipeline in early stages of the customer journey and throughout the decision-making process to grow the sales funnel, maximize profitability and share of market.</li><li>Collaborate with both distributor sales and regional development teams to ensure product development is meeting market demands and pricing strategies are tailored to capture value propositions.</li><li>Responsible for gathering and documenting (e.g., to CRM) relevant information about the market and competitors.</li><li>Ensure data visibility, accuracy, and reporting for periodic business review meetings.</li><li>Lead meetings and negotiations with stakeholders and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the organization’s business interests</li></ul> Other details: <ul><li>Construction Sales Cycle and Consultant Roles</li><li>Provide a basic overview of the construction sales cycle.</li><li>Explain the role of consultants in construction projects, including their responsibilities and contributions.</li><li>Top Developers and Projects in Ivory Coast (west African countries)</li><li>Identify leading developers and major construction projects in Ivory Coast (west African countries)</li><li>Highlight opportunities to build on these developments for business growth.</li><li>Business Consulting for our client in Ivory Coast (west African countries)</li><li>Act as business consultants for our client in, leveraging their data to analyze market opportunities.</li><li>Assess our client’s customer base in Ivory Coast and identify connections to top developers and projects.</li><li>Determine which customers align closely with our client’s existing client base.</li><li>Recommend strategies to engage top developers and secure projects, focusing on our client’s strengths in elevators, escalators, and building solutions.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering</li><li>5 years of relevant working experience in business development or sales role in a similar B2B industry.</li><li>Working closely within a distribution environment managing distributor business in related industries across Ivory Coast (west African countries) with a focus on growth.</li><li>Experience in souring and onboarding new distributors in both current and new markets.</li><li>Excellent understanding of value selling techniques.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence customers and colleagues.</li><li>Hands on with the ability to work independently and propose alternatives and solutions.</li><li>Excellent French, Arabic and English language skills.</li></ul>&nbsp;
