IOT Solution Architect

Role Description: <ul><li>The Software Engineer Lead will be in a position to serve as a subject matter expert for a specific team of Software Engineers.</li><li>In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies.</li><li>The position has direct reports. Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.</li><li>Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.</li><li>Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.</li><li>Resolve complex technical issues as necessary. Mentor and/or train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.</li><li>Keep abreast of new technology developments. Design and work with complex data models. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li><li>Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible.</li><li>Ensure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistently.</li><li>Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.</li><li>Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bilingual English and Spanish All Qualified Applicants must reside in Mexico City Able to work in person 2-4 days per week as needed Expertise in object-oriented development languages such as Java or .Net (C#) with an added benefit of having experience in front end technologies such as Angular or React.</li><li>Experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Kahn Bahn and Scrum).</li><li>Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.</li><li>Ability to design and work with complex data models. Role Description: <ul><li>The AI Solution Architect will oversee the architecture for AI solution teams, focusing on modifying existing products and creating new ones.</li><li>The ideal candidate should be passionate about designing, building, implementing, and maintaining AI/ML/Generative AI applications.</li><li>Leadership skills are essential to implement the latest AI techniques and architectures and to continuously improve the AI/ML development, delivery, and operations process.</li><li>The role involves adhering to best practices from Software Engineering, DevOps, MLOps, and LLMOps.</li><li>The AI Solution Architect will also be responsible for translating project requirements into strategic architecture solutions, ensuring the integration of cloud-native tools from major hyperscalers and machine learning to create chatbots, optimizations, and cognitive services.</li><li>This role requires a blend of technical expertise and the ability to bridge the gap between intricate business challenges and transformative AI solutions, making it a strategically crucial position.</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide technical leadership and resolve complex technical issues also by guiding and overseeing projects and external collaborations (assess and challenge technical solutions and ensure compliance and security with clients internal requirements)&nbsp;</li><li>Design and implementation of embedded real time systems, ideally as part of an IoT system, including the associated reliability, performance, and security aspects.</li><li>Design of frontends, backends and middleware of applications</li><li>Design client-side and server-side architecture</li><li>Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications</li><li>Write effective APIs (e.g. JSON schema, Swagger/REST)</li><li>Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency</li><li>Create security and data protection settings</li><li>Development of software for desktop and mobile applications including GUI</li><li>Interacting with embedded software engineers</li><li>Interfacing to embedded hardware devices</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Above average degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field</li><li>Proven experience in designing (in term of architecture) an end-to-end IoT solution including cloud assets</li><li>Proven experience in driving external collaborations (SOW, specifications, design reviews, execution, formal acceptance)</li><li>Good knowledge in Cloud technologies, including backend, data modeling and data architecture, cyber-security, front-end developments, IAM and users’ management</li><li>Experience with containers and microservice architectures</li><li>Advanced skills in web and cloud technologies (knowledge of AWS ecosystem is preferred)</li><li>Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, VUEJS)</li><li>Knowledge of back-end languages and frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Java, Python, Express.js, Flask)</li><li>Familiarity with databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL)</li><li>Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines</li><li>Experience with Unit Testing</li><li>Decision-making skills, and capable to make justified trade-offs</li><li>Ability to drive suppliers with a long-term partnership mindset</li><li>Written and spoken fluency in English: ability to communicate clearly, formalizing complex topics in a synthetic manner and understandable for non-technical audience</li></ul> We Value: <ul><li>Experience in sensor technology</li><li>Strong customer service mindset and mentality of delivering quality products and services on time and within company cost and profitability objectives</li><li>LEAN development experiences</li></ul>&nbsp;Motivational/Cultural Fit: <ul><li>Result driven</li><li>Problem solving</li><li>Clear and concise communication</li><li>Passion for technology and innovation</li><li>Cross-Team Collaboration</li></ul>
